Overview

Overview

Revival Rugs partnered with Optiversal to grow organic and AI-driven discovery in a competitive home category. The program combined continuous Google Merchant Feed enrichment with an expanding set of enriched landing pages — a two-sided approach designed to win both traditional search and the fast-emerging world of AI answers.

The Challenge

The Challenge

Standing out in home and rugs means answering highly specific shopper questions — by room, material, size, style, and use case — at a scale that's impractical to write and maintain by hand. It also means keeping product data fresh enough to surface in Shopping and in AI-generated answers, where stale content simply doesn't get cited.

What We Did

What We Did

Optiversal paired continuous daily GMC enrichment and seasonal language with a steadily growing library of enriched landing pages, then layered in conversational attributes — FAQs, packaging contents, and standard features — to match how shoppers phrase real questions. The landing pages target specific, high-intent queries (think “outdoor rugs for rainy climates” or “rugs for dorm rooms”), while continuous enrichment keeps the underlying feed current enough to earn placement in both Shopping and AI answers.

The Results

The Results

The two programs compounded. Enriched pages now account for 22.5% of Revival Rugs's organic search traffic and 33.8% of organic impressions, with 25% of pages ranking in Google's top 10. Continuous GMC enrichment lifted organic impressions +3,300% year over year, and cumulative traffic ran roughly 32% ahead of the program's own incremental projection — the model under-called what enrichment plus enriched pages could do together.

Individual pages tell the same story: enriched landing pages like “rugs for dorm rooms” (+118.8% clicks), “large plush area rugs” (+68.2%), and “outdoor rugs for rainy climates” (+65.4%) posted strong month-over-month click growth. And the share of organic traffic from Optiversal pages climbed from 0.4% to 22.5% over roughly a year — a steady, compounding curve rather than a one-time spike.

Increasingly, that content is showing up in generative search: Optiversal pages are being cited as sources in Google AI Search, and AI-Search visits have grown every single month.

Key Findings

Key Findings

A two-sided program — continuous, seasonal feed enrichment plus a growing enriched-page library — built a durable, rising share of both traditional and AI-driven search. Because the effect compounds, the trajectory has stayed on an upward curve, and the newest, fastest-growing channel (AI Search) is one enrichment is uniquely positioned to win.

What’s Next

What’s Next

Deepen seasonal enrichment and conversational attributes, expand the enriched-page library into new high-intent themes, and continue the joint case-study collaboration on Google Merchant Feed enrichment.
